The meeting will be held in the Physics Division (Bldg. 203), at Argonne National Laboratory. To locate building 203 see the Argonne map. Below you will find more information regarding air travel to the area, directions to ANL and lodging.

Travel

Argonne is served by two major airports: O'Hare International Airport (ORD) and Midway International Airport (MDW). Directions from these airports can be found in the following link Directions and maps.

The following are available limousine services from Chicago's two airports to Argonne:

  • United Limo: 630-969-3865

    • For reservations, please ask for Argonne's rates. The limo company will ask the location you would like to be taken to or picked up from. The Guest House is Building 460 and the Physics Division is Building 203.

    Please send the details of your limo reservation to Colleen Tobolic to prepare a gate pass to allow the limo driver on-site.

    FINANCIAL SUPPORT: Limited travel support may be available for students and postdoctoral fellows. If you will require travel support, please email the organizers (Melina Avila or Jason Clark).

    Lodging

    There are numerous on-site and off-site options for accommodations.

  • Argonne Guest House: A block of rooms have been held at the Argonne Guest House at a rate of $91.50 plus 6% tax. Shuttle service (Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm) can be requested for transportation from the North Gate entrance to the Argonne Guest House on arrival and on departure from the Lab. To book a room using this special rate, please go to the Argonne Guest House page. Make sure you include the group name, "Nuclear Astrophysics Opportunities at ATLAS" in the reservation form. Last day to book a room at this rate is June 27, 2019.
  • Aloft Hotel: A block of rooms have been reserved at the Aloft Bolingbrook hotel at a rate of $94.00 plus tax. The Aloft hotel provides free shuttle to Argonne and local area within an 8 mile radius. For reservations please click HERE. Last day to book a room at this rate at the Aloft hotel is June 20, 2019.

    Please note, because of new DOE/Laboratory policies, workshop attendees with accompanying guests who are not U.S. citizens must seek off-site lodging.
